Lately, I’ve noticed God putting great emphasis on His timing. We play the waiting game, and at times it’s difficult to accept where you are, why you’re there, and when you’re going to move on. But the Truth – the Way, the Life – was not designed by you. It does not move according to your desires, and your anxious spirit will not hurry God along. *Side note: I’m talking to myself.* So, I’ve learned to pray for reliance on Him and peace; peace, so when He acts, no matter the outcome, I will rest knowing His hand is at work.
This is pulling me back to last night’s American Idol elimination for a number of reasons. God has used contestants this year like Colton Dixon from American Idol, Jermaine Paul, the winner of The Voice, and finalists Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet, for His Kingdom. I think most viewers of American Idol could agree that Joshua Ledet is the most talented vocalist the show may have ever seen; so why isn’t he in the finale? Only God can reveal why. I can only imagine the plans He has for Joshua’s life and voice. We were all blessed, as viewers, to watch him grow and give the Glory to God. These are the people we ought to be raising up; our role models should bring us closer to Him, not further away. And though the reality of the situation seems unfair or different from what we had hoped, we can rest knowing God’s plan is the Master Plan, and with Him, well, you know.

Give all of the Glory to God. Praise and worship Him as He directs your paths.

And every important day from that day forward. @YOU.
